meet your wedding & event pro.

Hey babe — I’m Amanda…

the founder of Pearl Clutching Events, LLC. What started as a dream built from my home in 2024 quickly turned into a business rooted in creativity, connection, and celebrating people exactly as they are.

I’m licensed, insured, and certified through QC Event School in wedding planning and event decorating, with additional specialization in destination weddings. I’m also an ordained wedding officiant, allowing me to help couples create ceremonies that feel intentional, personal, and true to them.

Before entering the wedding and events industry, I earned a degree in Criminal Justice and planned on pursuing a career working within government systems. After the challenges and perspective shifts that came during 2020–2021, I realized that path no longer aligned with the life I wanted for myself. I took a step back and leaned into the creative side of me that had always existed — especially growing up as the only girl in the house, where imagination, individuality, and finding my own voice became second nature.

Born and raised in Grand Rapids and now living in Grant with my husband and our two dogs, I’ve built a business centered around inclusivity, authenticity, and meaningful experiences. As a bisexual woman, I understand what it feels like to want your full self to be seen, heard, and celebrated — and that perspective deeply shapes the way I approach every client and every event. My experiences with chronic illness and disability have also influenced the people-first approach I bring.

In addition to running Pearl Clutching Events, I also work as a social media manager for the generational family business and serve as a Notary Public for the State of Michigan. Whether I’m planning a wedding, designing details, officiating a ceremony, signing off on legal documents or helping another brand tell its story online, my passion has always been creating experiences that feel intentional, genuine, elevated, and unforgettable.

Some personal things I love: thrifting, baking, true crime, diy/crafting, horror & thriller flicks, traveling, Diet Pepsi, Bravo TV, traveling to National Parks with my little family, 4/20, tattoos, music, my morning coffee, a li’l treat.
